Why Paul Mills Founded Mai Technology
Paul Mills didn't set out to start an AI company. He spent the last 20 years building a career in technology sales, working with some of the world's largest organisations to solve complex business challenges through technology.
But over the past five years, Paul found himself at the epicenter of a transformation. As enterprises began their AI adoption journey, Paul was there – working directly with Google as a strategic partner, delivering AI adoption programmes to Fortune 500 companies.
He watched organisations grapple with the same questions: How do we adopt AI? Where do we start? How do we ensure it actually delivers value?
What Paul discovered was a massive gap in the market. Large enterprises had resources, but growing businesses – the ones with 50 to 250 employees – were stuck. They couldn't afford a £300k+ AI team, yet they needed AI to stay competitive.
